Mr. Sudhakar Rao, is the chairman of the board of the BSE Institute Ltd.
He was previously a member, of the Public Enterprises Selection Board, which is entrusted with the selection for all posts in Central Public Sector Enterprises at the level of Director of the Board and above. An alumnus of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre, Sudhakar has served in various capacities in India and abroad including the Chief Secretary to the Government of Karnataka, Chairman, Bangalore Development Authority, Bangalore, Minister (Economic Affairs), Embassy of India, Washington.
Mr. Ambarish Datta is the Managing Director of the BSE Institute Ltd.
Prior to taking up this assignment he headed the Technology Aided Learning group at Reliance Retail Limited. During which he was responsible for a nationwide roll out of e-learning and blended learning programs covering a wide range of learners for shop floor staff to senior managers.
Prior to his stint with Reliance Retail he has handled various portfolios in the IT and learning solutions space. He has over 15 years of experience in sales & execution of technology solutions. Extensive domain knowledge in SCM, Retail, BFSI, eLearning Solutions & Manufacturing businesses. Well versed with global technological progress and trends with proven experience in developing custom software solutions & new product development and the ability to design complex solutions for mission critical business needs.
He has done his SMP from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
Mr. Praveen Chakravarty is a senior financial services professional of repute, a public policy activist and an active angel investor.
Currently, Mr.Chakravarty is on a stint with the Unique Identity Authority of India (UIDAI) set up under the Chairmanship of Mr.Nandan Nilekani by the Planning Commission of the Government of India.
Mr.Chakravarty was a Managing Director at BNP Paribas and prior to that, Mr. Chakravarty was a Founder-Director at Thomas Weisel India, a boutique investment bank headquartered in San Francisco, CA. Prior to his Wall Street career, Mr.Chakravarty spent 7 years at Microsoft and IBM in the US and India in various product marketing roles.
Mr. Chakravarty is also the co-founder of Mumbai Angels, India's most active angel investment network and is an investor and board member in 3 start-ups.
Mr.Chakravarty is a frequent contributor to opinion-editorial columns of leading newspapers. Mr.Chakravarty is also actively involved in various public policy initiatives in areas of youth employability and financial inclusion for the poor.
He is a voracious non-fiction reader, an active cricketer, a history buff and a keen follower of the randomness of the financial markets.
Mr. Chakravarty received his MBA degree from the Wharton School and his undergraduate degree from BITS, Pilani.
Mr. Rangarajan ("Raghu") Sundaram is the Yamaichi Faculty Fellow and Professor of Finance at New York University's Stern School of Business where he teaches derivatives pricing and risk-management. He was formerly at the University of Rochester from 1988-96. He received his BA in Economics from the University of Madras, India, in 1982; his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, in 1984; and his PhD in Economics from Cornell University in 1988.
Professor Sundaram's research in finance covers a range of areas including agency problems, executive compensation, corporate finance, derivatives pricing, and credit risk & credit derivatives.
Professor Sundaram is the author of A First Course in Optimization Theory (Cambridge University Press, 1996) and a forthcoming book on derivatives (to be published by McGraw-Hill). He was Co-Editor of the Journal of Derivatives from 2002-08 and has served on several other editorial boards. In 2007, he became the inaugural recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award from the Stern School of Business.
Mr. Ashishkumar Chauhan currently works as the MD and CEO of BSE, the first stock exchange of India. BSE is ranked as the largest exchange in the world in terms of number of stocks listed.
Ashish has been given the Distinguished Alumnus Award for the year 2014 by his alma mater, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. In 2014, he has also received the best CEO in the Financial Markets in Asia Pacific by the Asian Banker and the Best CEO Award for Global Islamic Financial Initiatives from CEO Clubs Network. He has been ranked amongst the 60 most influential Gujaratis in the world for last 2 consecutive years by Chitralekha, the largest selling Gujarati magazine. He was also ranked amongst the top 50 Chief Information Officer (CIO) by several magazines and institutions between 2005 and 2009 including CIO Magazine US, Information Week, US etc.
Ashish is best known as the father of modern financial derivatives in India. He was part of a small team of 5 people selected from IDBI to set up National Stock Exchange (NSE). At NSE, he set up the first commercial satellite network, initial technology platform, Nifty index, NSE’s certification in financial markets (NCFM), listing, derivatives markets etc. At BSE, he has been responsible for bringing in the fastest trading system in India with 200 microseconds response time. In addition, he has also been responsible for revamping of BSE, bringing equity, currency and interest rate derivatives to BSE, introducing mobile trading system in India and several other achievements.
Ashish is considered as one of the foremost experts in financial market policies, microstructure, information technology, organized retail, telecommunications, Indian social issues, cricket etc. He also worked as the CEO of a cricket team in its formative years – Mumbai Indians in addition to his role as the President and CIO of Reliance group.
He currently serves on the Board of ICCL, CDSL, BSE Institute Limited and Marketplace Technologies Limited. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of IIIT D&M, Jabalpur. He also serves as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee on Technology of FMC, member of several SEBI committees (including Primary Market Advisory Committee and Secondary Market Advisory Committee) and has served on various other government and regulatory committees; CBDT and FMC, amongst others in the past. He is also a member of the UK-India Financial Partnership constituted by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. He is a member of the National Executive Committee of FICCI as well as the Capital Markets Committee of FICCI, National Committee on Capital Markets and National Council on Financial Sector Development of CII. He also serves on the managing committee of Indian Merchants Chamber.

Ashish holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay and PGDM from IIM Calcutta.
Mr. V. Balasubramaniam has close to 2 decades of experience, managing business and technology operations in the capital markets market industry. He is a Master of Commerce from the University of Mumbai, a Rank holder from the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He was part of the Core team involved in setting up the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
Currently, he is part of BSE's Executive Management Committee and heads their business operations, listings, information products divisions as Chief Business Officer.
Amit Mahajan heads the Information Products and Procurement function at BSE. He is also responsible for all digital initiatives of BSE, including BSE’s website, which is amongst the most popular websites in the country and mobile apps.
Amit is a technocrat with sound business acumen, his areas of interest includes web technologies, web advertising, e-Commerce and mobile applications. Amit has 2 decades of experience in management of IT application project portfolios across Stock Exchanges, eCommerce platforms, telecom and retail sectors.
Amit Mahajan is a Bachelor of Engineering from BITS Pilani, India and an MBA from Mumbai University.
