Sparsh Foot Spa

Sparsh Foot Spa is the livelihood initiative by NGO Trinayani. Founded by Singer-Activist Ritika Sahni in 2006, Trinayani has been working towards creating mass awareness about disability and diversity issues and encouraging and supporting individuals with disabilities to function as integral and dignified members of the mainstream society. Sparsh Foot Spa started in 2011 and employs trained blind therapists, who manage it independently. This initiative has allowed them to change the attitude of those who use these services and pay for the services rendered, which is contradictory to the age-old convention of giving alms to blind persons.
