Stalin Dayanand

Stalin Dayanand is a passionate environmentalist based in Mumbai and has worked with various environmental groups. His opinions on various environmental issues in and around the state of Maharashtra appear in various environment-related news reports. He is also a member of a grievance redressal committee to monitor and protect the wetlands in the state of Maharashtra which was set up by the state government.

Stalin has been involved in a large number of environmental activities such as Protection of trees in Sawantwadi – Dodamarg wildlife corridor, Dabhi Village case, restoration of rare species of Mangroves in Thane Creek, protection of critical wildlife areas in Sanjay Gandhi National Park, and the recent the Save Aarey movement, among many, many others. Stalin D. was nominated for Mumbai Heroes Award by Mumbai Mirror in 2013. He was also recognized as one of the "Green heroes who fight relentlessly to protect Mumbai" by Hindustan Times on the occasion of World Environment Day in 2015.
