I was always passionate about learning Data Science. I was an average student in school, but I liked mathematics a lot. Initially, I was hesitant about the scope of data analytics, but after meeting BIL's counselling team, I realized this is what I desired to learn. My family was always supportive and let me pursue my dreams. Our course ended a few days before the lockdown and I read in the papers about employees being laid off or salaries being cut. I was worried about placements and questioned my decision.

The design of the program was such that we had a few months of study at BSEI in Mumbai before coming to New Zealand. In those few months, we completed three subjects from our programme at BSEI and studied a few more. BSE Institute Ltd. is not similar to other colleges. Here, our faculty were highly experienced and would conduct in-class debates on different topic to raise our awareness of the current trends. The professors made sure that all our queries were answered. No matter which field you belonged to (arts or science), they explained us about the economics and finance in detail. They always pushed me to excel and helped me cater my curiosity. The relationship with faculties never felt like a Teacher Student relationship, I was more of a friendly mentor relationship, but I don't think my words would do justice to it.

The BIL team not only disseminates its knowledge inside the classroom, but also encourages students to participate in college games and events. I used to wonder what capital market was and how it works. I had no idea of what the financial side of the world was.
